VAE emulsion, characterized by its principal constituent, the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, is synthesized through the copolymerization process involving ethylene, vinyl acetate, and acrylate esters. This emulsion is distinguished by its exemplary properties, including superior adhesive capabilities, enhanced water and chemical resistance, along with notable dyeability. Owing to these advantageous attributes, VAE emulsion finds extensive applications across a diverse range of industries, including but not limited to, coatings, adhesives, textile finishes, and construction materials.

Key Features

VAE emulsion exhibits permanent flexibility due to its internally plasticized nature, resisting plasticizer migration and maintaining the product’s softness. It’s also stable under weak acid and base conditions, preventing emulsion breakage and ensuring a wide application range.
The emulsion’s internal plasticization provides robust UV resistance, preventing the aging of polymer properties. This characteristic persists even after the emulsion forms a film, providing long-term stability and durability against environmental factors.
VAE emulsion is highly compatible, able to mix with a variety of additives, pigments, fillers, and polymers without agglomeration. It can also be blended with a range of chemicals including organic compounds and solvents, facilitating diverse applications in multiple industries.
With a minimum film-forming temperature generally below 5°C, VAE emulsion forms excellent films that offer good water barrier properties. It also exhibits strong adhesion to various materials like fibers, wood, paper, and ceramics, categorized into general-purpose and water-resistant types to suit different application needs.
